What does it take to have a sign installed?

You're ready to open a business. You have got the perfect name, a great logo and branding. You have even leased the most ideal space, and it magically happens to be in the most perfect neighborhood. This is the moment you realize that you are going to need a way to let everyone know that this is your business, right here. Well you're in luck because what you need is a sign and we make some of the best signs in the entire world. You give us a call, and we schedule a site survey to see your location, take some measurements and photos. With our newly collected data we can now work together to come up with a set of sign plans. You're as excited as you've ever been and are dreaming, awake and while you sleep, about how great your new sign is going to look. 

    However this is also the moment where we explain that while we would like nothing more than to build your sign and install it as fast as humanly possible. We have to obtain some formal approvals. These steps we will be responsible for completing as your hired sign company. First, and ultimately the most important approval will be from your landlord or property management company. Secondly, we will need to obtain a building permit from the local Community Development Department of the city your business is located within. This process will differ from city to city, but ultimately its involves the same requirements. City Planning approval, followed by Building and Safety approval, and we will be required to have a business license to perform work in the city. Which means there will be some additional costs added to cost of producing and installing  your sign. These costs generally range from a few hundred dollars to as much as a few thousand dollars depending on the city, there requirements, and fees. This process usually takes anywhere from 2 weeks to a few months to obtain a sign permit. Again is differs from city to city, and no two cities are the same. Please remember that we are a Licensed Sign Contractor, and we will be performing construction, and ensuring the safety of the public is of the utmost importance. It is important that we take all the appropriate steps necessary to ensure that your sign is installed safely, and the sign remains safe to the public long after the construction has commenced.
